Meet the Attorneys
Parviz Heshmati, Esq.
Parviz Aaron Heshmati was born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Parviz received a Juris Doctorate from William S. Boyd School of Law, UNLV. Shortly after that, in 2010, focusing on criminal defense, Parviz founded Heshmati & Associates.
Parviz has been recognized many times through various awards for his excellence in criminal defense. He received the "Rising Star" award from SuperLawyers Magazine (2015, 2016, 2019, 2020), "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" by The National Trial Lawyers Association (2013, 2015, 2016), "10 Best by State" by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys (2015, 2020, 2021), "The Mountain States Rising Star" from SuperLawyers (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), and "10 Best Attorneys" for Client Satisfaction in Nevada for the practice of personal injury law (2020). In 2024, Parviz was nominated for the "Recognizing Excellence in the Practice of Law" award.
In his spare time, Parviz enjoys playing basketball. He is a team member of the Lawyers' Team in the Las Vegas Downtown Basketball League every other season. His wife, an attorney, and their two children keep him involved in a long list of other activities.
Parish Heshmati, Esq.
Parish Derrick Heshmati is a partner and an attorney at HALO Attorneys. He helps clients navigate the confusing patchwork of Nevada injury law and insurance policies and procedures.
After spending nearly a decade resolving injury claims, Parish knows what injuries and losses are typically overlooked by insurance companies and how to use those facts to drive large settlements.
Parish is a trained mediator who successfully mediated disputes for other attorneys and their clients. He is also an arbitrator for the State Bar of Nevada. As a member of the prestigious Southern Nevada Disciplinary Panel, Parish sits on tribunals for disciplinary proceedings for the State Bar of Nevada. He is an active member of the Nevada Justice Association, a non-profit that advocates for injury victims.
Parish received the prestigious the "Top 10 Personal Injury Law Attorney" Award by The Best of the Best Attorneys (2020), "Top 10 Under 40" Attorney Award (2020, 2022), Top Rank Attorney by Nevada Business Magazine (2026), and the "Nevada's Top 10 Attorneys" Award by Attorney and Practice Magazine (2020, 2021).
Parish holds a Juris Doctorate in Law from the Boyd School of Law and a degree in Finance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He maintains numerous licenses and certifications.

Gabriela Suarez, Case Manager / Office Manager
Originally from Southern California, Gabby has worked as a case manager in Las Vegas since relocating there in 2011, focusing on personal injury claims. Her job includes requesting and reviewing medical bills and records, verifying balances and liens, and corresponding with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and clients.
Gabby is very dedicated to ensuring that every Heshmati & Associates client walks away with a positive experience.
Gabby likes to hang out with her family and friends and binge-watch Netflix movies when not working.
Suleyma Juarez, Case Manager / Case Manager Supervisor
Born in California, Suleyma was raised in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. She was a personal injury case manager for many years before joining Heshmati & Associates.
Suleyma spends her day requesting and reviewing medical records, resolving property damage, and preparing demand letters. She is in constant communication with medical providers, insurance companies, and, most importantly, clients.
It is important for her to make her clients feel welcome from the beginning and to see them walk away happy after a long journey through their injury case.
Suleyma has a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from UNLV.
When not at work, she enjoys shopping and cooking for her family.
Elvia Quintana, Case Manager
Elvia is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of client cases. She works closely with attorneys, clients, and other legal team members to ensure liability claims progress smoothly and efficiently. Communicating with clients, answering questions, and providing updates on case status is her top priority.
Elvia was born in Mexico but lived in Las Vegas all her adult life. For 14 years, Elvia worked for another law firm before joining Heshmati & Associates. She speaks fluent Spanish and English.
Elvia likes going to the gym when not at work and decorating her home.
Mindy Mendez, Assistant Case Manager
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Mindy previously worked in hospitality and events before becoming a paralegal in 2024.
Her tasks include requesting billing and records, assisting clients with their property damage claims, and keeping communication with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
She is passionate about helping her clients through challenging situations.
Outside of work, Mindy enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her son, and watching reality TV.
Arthur Mejia, Law Clerk
Arthur is a Las Vegas native who joined Heshmati & Associates in 2015. He is responsible for sealing criminal records and personal injury liability claims.
Arthur is a laymember of the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Panel for the State Bar of Nevada. He is also a contributing writer for the law firm's website and has written most of the articles about record sealing.
Arthur graduated from UNLV in 2022 with a B.S.B.A. in Finance. He is currently pursuing a law degree.
Arthur loves football. In his (rare) moments of spare time, he likes to watch and analyze professional football games.
Gabriela Ortega, Pre-Litigation Case Manager
Gabby has been working in the legal field since 2015, concentrating on personal injury law for over 8 years. Her background spans both pre-litigation and litigation, providing her with comprehensive insight into each phase of a case. Gabby values continuous learning and uses her experience to help clients understand the process and feel supported from start to finish.
Outside the office, Gabby enjoys trying new restaurants, going to the gym, evening walks, and quality time with loved ones.
Jocelyne Hillyer, Assistant Case Manager
Jocelyne assists pre-litigation personal injury case managers with daily tasks and works closely with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
She was born and raised in Las Vegas. Previously, she worked in customer service.
Jocelyne recently completed her college degree, majoring in healthcare.
In her spare time, Jocelyne enjoys camping, fishing, and everything outdoors.
Brenda Esquivel-Mora, Case Manager
Brenda helps attorneys with the personal injury claims process. She communicates daily with clients, healthcare providers, and other vendors. She is very dedicated to providing top-notch service to her clients.
Brenda enjoys country dancing, attending rodeo events, and drinking a lot of coffee. She worked in another personal injury law firm before joining Heshmati & Associates.
Gale Kotlikova, Digital Marketer
Gale is a digital marketer and a web content creator. She was the 3rd person ever hired at Heshmati & Associates.
Gale is responsible for the content of the law firm's website.
Before Heshmati & Associates, Gale worked as a business analyst for an insurance company. She has an MBA degree from Fordham University in NYC.
